The Kiawah Island Club is a private, invitation-only club that offers an elevated lifestyle experience beyond what’s available through Kiawah Island’s public amenities. With exclusive access to world-class golf courses, dining, wellness, and outdoor recreation, the Club is a major attraction for homeowners in select neighborhoods.
Full access to Cassique and River Course golf clubs
Use of clubhouses, dining, pools, fitness centers, and events
Includes social and sports privileges
Access to club dining, spa, pools, fitness, tennis, and social programming
No golf privileges at the private courses (but access to Kiawah’s public courses remains)
Note: Membership privileges extend to the member, their spouse/partner, and dependent children under 25.
Kiawah Island Club membership is not open to the general public and cannot be purchased separately. To join:
You must purchase a property designated as a “Kiawah Island Club property.”
Eligible properties are located in specific neighborhoods like Cassique, Ocean Park, The Settlement, and some homes in Vanderhorst Plantation.
The seller must offer the membership with the property at the time of sale. If not offered, it typically cannot be added later.
Not all properties on Kiawah Island are eligible. If a home is not tied to club membership, you cannot join the Club, even if you live full-time on the island.
Memberships do not transfer automatically. Each sale is reviewed by the Kiawah Island Club, and a buyer must be approved and pay the required initiation fee (which can be substantial—often $150,000+ for Golf).
Annual dues apply to both membership types and vary each year.
